Excellent location for Camden Market - basic but clean and very good price
Not up market but it is cheap
Excellent location, great value for money and very clean but luxury it aint. Amazingly quiet considering location - excellent double glazing.
Was just across road from gig venue - Rounhouse - and a pub, tube station 50m away. Staff friendly and helpful. Basic but clean twin room which can be sometimes hard to find. Good shower. Breakfast included was basic but did the trick. Only issue was that it was really hot due to bathroom radiator having no off switch and the vent wasnt working in bathroom so it turned into a sauna. Overall a good value hotel if you fancy a mooch around Camden Lock, Primrose Hill etc and are sick of crappy Travelodges.
See above - minor thing and probably only hot as it was very mild for time of year
Good location, clean airy room, fresh towels every day and top-ups of shower gel and shampoo. Also tea and coffee making facilities. Very friendly staff.
There was nothing to complain about!
The staff was very nice, room was small but clean. Very good breakfast.
Location and good breakfast, Friendly staff
Room not sound proof, bathroom tiles moldy.
The fact that it was I'n a central location
Firstly the room was quite small .... The quilt was too light , very thin and therefor It was quite chilly through the night ... Also the pillows...there was one pillow each and both were as flat as a pancake!!!! I didn't sleep well because of this - it was extremely uncomfortable ! It was noisey at night but I guess that was just our luck of having a really noisy couple next door- alot of banging and shouting . And if I was to correct one more thing it would be offer a proper breakfast to residents I'n the morning .... An extra of 3 pounds per person for a sausage and some eggs was charged when it clearly states breakfast as part of the cost of the room ...
The room was relatively clean, up to date and was not too noisy. The included breakfast was reasonable.
The hotel is a bit shabby, the staff a little rude, and the bed was not very comfy. There is no lift.
The hotel is located in Camden, which is very busy during the evenings because of the high number of bars and venues. My stay was for the purpose of visiting the Roundhouse, which is almost opposite to the hotel. However, my room was very quiet at all times and getting rest was not difficult. The TV in the room was a modern LCD model of a reasonable size and had Freeview channels and text services. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Nothing - I enjoyed my stay and would be happy to use the hotel again. For anyone who is visiting the Roundhouse, the location couldn't be better.
I've been in London for the concert at Jazz Café (Camden Town), that's why I was looking for something near the venue. The first day (night), my room is not clean enough (particularly the bathroom), and I didn't have enough hot water before 7.30 am and the daytime (I wanted taking shower afternoon and before sleeping), but I love the Camden Town & Chalk Farm area, your staffs were cool and kind, I had no problem. So, the total is ok and good enough for me, maybe I'll come back to stay the next time I'll stay in London. Thank you.
So I wrote them already (I rewrite) : Not always clean enough the room (bathroom, but the 2nd day, it was much enough clean), not enough hot water (before 7.30 am and daytime - afternoon & night). I never watched tv while my stay so I don't know if the tv worked.
Confortable bed and good towels. Close to Tube station and pub.
No lift. Small shower stall. Not clear if the shower water temperature varied due to inadvertent bumping the valve or plumbing issues.
The location is great. It's just 3 minutes walk from the Chalk Farm Station and it's about a 5-min walk to the Camden Lock Market. With the price, I actually should not demand more.
Room safety is a problem of concern. There is a ladder right beside my window and I have to shut the window at night for fear someone may climb at night. The window is also facing the kitchen chimney and there is nasty smell coming up occasionally. The room is not particularly clean but is acceptable. Another thing is about the room key, you have to leave the key at the reception when going out. However, when coming back, all we need to do is to tell the receptionist the room number. I believe there should be some kind of proof or else anyone can get into my room.
The location is excellent, the staff are friendly, the room was clean and well presented and the hotel manageress is very sweet. Altogether a pleasant stay.
Good location in Camden town and next to Chalk-farm tube. Good breakfast. Some of the staff was very nice, some less.
The central heating was broken and it was cold. I was given a heater but because there is only one electricity plug in the room, I wasn't able to watch tv or use my computer while the heater was on. The hotel is quite noisy, unclean and has no elevator. It was ok for one night, but I would not recommend it for longer periods.
Basic but spotlessly clean, efficient and friendly staff and a brilliant location for the Roundhouse and Camden. Amazingly good value especially with breakfast in the comfortable cafe.Good shower.
A coupe of extra pillows would be good. It was quite noisy, but we expected that from the other revues and from the location.
